"Se va el caimán" (Spanish for "the caiman is going") is a Colombian cumbia written by José María Peñaranda. A caiman is similar to an alligator, but slightly smaller and native to Central and South America. According to Ms. Medina, the song is very popular and originated in the region of Barranquilla (mentioned in the song).

Se va el caimán,
se va el caimán,
se va para Barranquilla.
The caiman is leaving,
the caiman is leaving,
it's going to Barranquilla.
