国民革命歌 (National Revolutionary Song)

Performed by Anonymous Chinese Americans.
Recorded October 3, 2026 in New Haven, Connecticut.

This anthem of Chinese communism was first sung by the National Revolutionary Army during the Northern Expedition military campaign of 1926. Its lyrics were written on July 1, 1926 by Kuang Yong, a political instructor at the Whampoa Military Academy. It is sung to the tune of Frère Jacques.

The informants have chosen to remain anonymous, given that in their homeland, public criticism of the Chinese Communist Party is heavily censored and legally penalized.
