Pin Pon

Performed by Kelly Flores.
Recorded May 27, 2023 in New Milford, Connecticut.
Two verses.

The Spanish children's song "Pin Pon" was composed by Mexican radio personality Cri-Cri and popularized in the 1960s by Chilean TV host Jorge Guerra, who created the character of a cardboard doll named Pin Pon for his children's show. The song has since undergone lyrical variations throughout Latin American folk and is often included in collections of children's songs.

Pin Pon es un muñeco
muy guapo y de cartón
Se lava la carita
con agua y con jabón

Pin Pon siempre se peina
con peine de marfil
Y aunque se da dolores
no llora ni hace así
Pin Pon is a doll
so handsome and of cardboard
He washes his little face
with soap and water

He always combs his hair
with an ivory comb
And even when he gets hurt
doesn't cry or make a fuss
